Current Book Clubs at NLRPLS
2024-01-05 00:03:38 by Susie Kirk
As the new year unfolds, many of us set resolutions to read more and foster a sense of community. If these aspirations are on your list for the year, look no further than the North Little Rock Public Library System (NLRPLS) book clubs. Our current book club schedule caters to teens, adults, and a combined group of both! Keep an eye on this space, our social media, and our Upcoming Events calendar for exciting additions to our book club lineup.
For teens with a passion for engaging with BIPOC stories, authors, creators, and local organizations, the Great Stories Club (GSC) at the Laman Library Loft is the perfect monthly gathering. Starting with a meal from a local eatery, GSC meetings create a comfortable environment for teens to connect before delving into the chosen book of the month. Even if a teen hasn't finished the book, they're encouraged to participate in open discussions where free thought, tough questions, and honest answers are welcomed. Following the discussion, participants have the opportunity to express their emotions, concepts, and lessons creatively. If you have any questions or wish to sign up for the GSC, you can contact Bekah at the Loft or email her at bekah.smith@lamanlibrary.org.
