LamanCon Code of Conduct
1. Respect other attendees and library staff. No harassment of any kind will be tolerated, including the use of threatening language. Respect others’ personal space and boundaries, and remember that cosplay is not consent. Follow all instructions given by library staff and LamanCon volunteers. Remember that the library is a public space and should be welcoming to all.
2. Wear appropriate attire. LamanCon is a family event, and all attire should reflect this. No nudity or partial nudity is allowed, and neither are costumes which are explicit or contain offensive language or symbols. Shoes must be worn at all times.
3. No weapons of any kind. No weapons are permitted on Library property, except as authorized by law. Toy weapons that are part of a costume are permitted as long as they are clearly recognizable as toys. Do not brandish costume weapons in a threatening manner.
4. No unattended children. Library staff and convention volunteers are not responsible for unattended children. A responsible caregiver must accompany any child who appears not to be sufficiently capable or mature to be on library premises without supervision. Parents or caregivers are responsible for monitoring and regulating the behavior of the child they accompany, and for ensuring that the child follows established library policies and procedures.
5. All library policies will be in effect. The Patron Behavior & Code of Conduct can be found here: https://nlrlibrary.org/about/policies/
