The North Little Rock Public Library System (NLRPLS) is thrilled to share exciting news: the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub will officially join our family on January 1, 2025!
This milestone is the result of months of planning and collaboration with Winrock International. The Innovation Hub, a dynamic center for creativity and entrepreneurship, has been inspiring makers, entrepreneurs, and learners since 2014. With this transition, the Hub will become an official library location, giving our community even greater access to its transformative resources and programs.
What Does This Mean for the Innovation Hub?
The Hub will remain a space for innovation, creativity, and collaboration—but now with the added strength and support of the North Little Rock Public Library System. Staff experienced in the Hub’s unique equipment and services will ensure its programs continue to thrive, while also exploring new opportunities to integrate the Hub into NLRPLS’s existing initiatives.
Why Is This Transition Important?
For Executive Director Crystal Gates, this new chapter represents a big step forward for the library system and the community:
"This transition reflects our dedication to serving the North Little Rock community with dynamic resources and opportunities. The Innovation Hub is a vital part of our city’s culture of creativity and growth, and we are excited to integrate it as a library location. While there is still much to do, this partnership will allow us to expand access to learning, collaboration, and innovation for everyone in our community."
What’s Next?
The countdown to January 1, 2025, is on, and we’re working hard to ensure a smooth transition. We’ll share updates along the way, so stay tuned for more details about what this means for the Hub’s programs, services, and how you can get involved.
Together, we’re building a stronger, more innovative North Little Rock—one step at a time.
